Connectors

A connector links your Web Assistant to a system you already run. There are three families: content, action and customer. Early access is marked on each name it applies to.

What can the Talven Web Assistant connect to?

The Web Assistant connects to your content systems, to the tools your team runs, and to the accounts of your signed-in customers, through three families of connectors.

  • Content connectors keep your Web Assistant current with what you publish.
  • Action connectors let it book, look up and file things in your tools.
  • Customer connectors let it recognize your customers and act on their account.

What does early access mean on a connector?

Early access marks a connector built to the vendor's published interface and not yet proven on a live customer account.

You can ask for an early-access connector, and we set it up with you.

What is a customer connector?

A customer connector gives your Web Assistant a signed-in view of a customer, such as their orders, reservations and account state.

Two customer connectors are packaged today:

  • Shopify (commerce): order status, returns and product questions, answered against the customer's own account.
  • Mews PMS (hospitality): reservations, arrivals and guest requests, answered against your property management system.

Customer connectors are set up with you in a pilot.

How do I connect a system to my Web Assistant?

You connect apps and services on the Integrations page of CX Studio Manager, and we set up connectors to your own systems with you in a pilot.

On the Integrations page you add the service, enter the key or token it asks for, and choose which of its tools are on. Credentials for your systems are stored encrypted.

For a content connector, a customer connector, or a system of your own, tell us about your project.

What if my system is not on the list?

Any system with an MCP server or an OpenAPI 3 description connects as it is, without new code, for content and for actions.

We can also build a custom connector to your specification, on any plan. Additional charges may apply. A vendor we do not cover yet can become a packaged connector, open to every customer. Connector needs shape our roadmap, so tell us what you use.

Do connectors cost extra?

Every plan has the same connectors available, and the plans differ only in website sessions and price.

Connectors to your own systems and sign-in for your customers are set up with you in a pilot. A custom connector that we build for you may carry additional charges. We agree those with you first.

Does a web search connector mean the Talven Web Assistant uses the open internet?

The Web Assistant searches the web only when you turn that on, and only when your knowledge has no answer.

Web search connectors such as Exa, Tavily, Brave Search and Serper are an option for a business that wants this. Without web search, your Web Assistant answers only from what you approved.

Does listing a vendor mean that vendor endorses Talven?

No. A vendor's name on this site states that the Web Assistant works with its product, and it claims nothing about the vendor.

Product names and logos belong to their owners. No endorsement is implied.
