Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Talven Tech, Inc. ("Talven Tech", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data in connection with the Talven Tech website and our products and services, including Talven CX Studio (collectively, the "Services"). We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Talven Tech, Inc. is based in the United States and serves customers internationally; US law applies, and where we process the personal data of individuals in the European Union/EEA or Switzerland, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) may also apply.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Talven Tech, Inc., 124 Henry St, Greenwich, CT 06830, USA. Contact: [email protected]. Where we process personal data on behalf of a business customer operating one of our products, we act as a processor and that customer is the controller.
2. What we collect
- Contact data you provide — e.g. your name, email, company, and message when you contact us.
- Account data — when you sign up for Talven CX Studio: your name, work email, company, website, the languages you choose, your password (stored only as a one-way hash), and the version of our Terms you accepted and when.
- Billing data — your billing address, tax ID, plan and payment status. Payment card details are collected and held by our payment provider, Stripe, not by us.
- Website content — the public pages of your website that we read to build your assistant.
- Usage data — basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected to operate and secure our websites.
- Conversation data — where you or a customer operates an assistant through our products, conversations and related metadata are processed to provide and improve the Services.
3. Why we use it (legal bases)
We process personal data to: respond to your enquiries; provide, secure, and improve the Services; comply with legal obligations. Depending on the case, our legal basis is your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, or a legal obligation.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics only after you accept analytics cookies. It measures page visits, campaign sources and selected interactions, such as signup requests and business enquiry link clicks. We do not send form contents, email addresses, full referrers or raw query strings to Google Analytics. Advertising storage and personalization are disabled. You can accept, reject or withdraw analytics consent through Cookie settings at any time. We save your consent choice in this browser for six months. Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_326Z1S371D cookies after consent; our tag limits their lifetime to six months. Google may process analytics data outside your country, including in the United States. Withdrawing consent stops further collection in this browser; it does not delete data already received by Google.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards, or where required by law. The providers we use for Talven CX Studio, what each receives, and where it processes data are listed on our Subprocessors page. Talven Tech, Inc. is based in the United States; personal data may be processed in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we use appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised. A sign-up that is never confirmed is deleted within about a month.
A Talven CX Studio workspace whose assistant has been paused for a billing reason for 90 days is deleted, including its conversations, contacts, knowledge and assistant. A billing reason means the free trial ended without a plan, the subscription ended or is unpaid, or a payment is overdue. We email the account owner 30 days and 7 days before the deletion; choosing a plan, or paying what is due, at any time before then keeps everything. Our Terms of Service (§6.8) describe the steps before that.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Your rights depend on the data protection laws that apply to you (for example, US state privacy laws, the EU GDPR, or the Swiss FADP). You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact [email protected]. We answer within one month of receiving your request; where a request is complex, we may extend this by up to two further months and will tell you why within the first month.
If you talked to an assistant on a business's website, that business decides how your conversation is used: contact it first. We help it answer your request. The owners and admins of a Talven CX Studio workspace can find what their workspace holds about one person, and export or erase it, from the console's Privacy requests page.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Our Security page describes how Talven CX Studio is hosted and protected.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy here and update the "Last updated" date.
